Oneness Green Project
A procession was held at Mancherial mandal, Dist. Adilabad on 24th July, 2011 to create an awareness on planting more trees to save our environment from global warming. More than 70 people participated in the procession. The local media covered the event. All the volunteers were very happy and felt proud about the awareness that they could create.
On July – 28th, 29th & 30th Amma Bhagavan Seva Samiti Bheemaram mandal & Laxettipet mandal, Adilabad Dist. planted more than 2100 trees in the respective mandals. These trees were planted in houses, streets, schools and temples with the help of sevaks. Four varieties of trees were planted. The school staff and the villagers helped with this project and appreciated ABSS for its meritorious work.
Mahabubnagar ABSS, in Wanaparthy,Pentlavelli,Pangal,Kothakota and Kalwarala,Pebbair mandals of Mahabub Nagar Disrict also did plantation in their respective places in full swing. They planted a total of 10260 saplings in the last week of July. The trees included guava, amla, curry leaves, teak, papaya, neem and kanuga. The samithi said it would continue to plant a few thousand trees more. This is just a beginning.
